Album Notes & Community Reviews
Teaming with producer Jerry Finn, the Chicago trio polished their macabre, gothic-tinged punk formula into a heavily layered, radio-ready alternative rock aesthetic. The sessions saw the band expanding their instrumentation with piano and string accompaniments, framing Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano's grim, cynical lyricism against soaring, stadium-sized choruses.
