Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Garip', Altin Gün offers a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Turkish folk bard Neşet Ertaş, reinterpreting ten of his iconic compositions through their signature psychedelic lens. The album expands the band's Anatolian rock and funk sound by weaving in lush Arabesque string arrangements, bursts of saxophone, and shimmering synth balladry. This results in a cinematic and diverse collection that honors the group's folk roots while simultaneously charting an exhilarating path forward.
