Album Notes & Community Reviews
Damon McMahon enlists prominent members of Godspeed You! Black Emperor to help flesh out the hazy, deeply introspective folk of his third album. Stepping out of his solitary, lo-fi origins, the sweeping instrumentation provides a beautiful, slightly unhinged backdrop for his wailing, improvisational vocal delivery. The record acts as a profound meditation on the terrifying, all-encompassing nature of its titular subject.
