Album Notes & Community Reviews

This self-titled record marked the surprising reunion of the influential emo act after a 17-year hiatus. Recorded with producer Jason Cupp, the album finds the original lineup of Mike Kinsella, Steve Holmes, and Steve Lamos expanding their signature sound. While retaining the intricate guitar work and introspective lyricism of their debut, it introduces a more mature, refined, and sonically layered approach to their songwriting.
