Album Notes & Community Reviews

Before establishing his signature indie-folk looping sound, the classically trained violinist emerged with a heavily retro-leaning ensemble project. Released during the height of the neo-swing movement, 'Thrills' brilliantly synthesizes early hot jazz, gypsy swing, and vaudeville theatrics, highlighting Bird's dizzying violin proficiency and idiosyncratic lyricism.
