Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Italian singer-songwriter weaves a magical, pastoral atmosphere heavily indebted to Renaissance and Celtic musical traditions. Accompanied by a vast array of acoustic instrumentation including lutes, violins, and flutes, Branduardi's delicate tenor delivers poetic lyrics deeply rooted in European folklore and fable. It became a massive pan-European success, solidifying his unique brand of progressive chamber-folk.
