Album Notes & Community Reviews

The fiercely independent Buffalo songwriter's sophomore album sharpens her rapid-fire, percussive acoustic guitar technique and unapologetically feminist lyricism. 'Not So Soft' bristles with the raw, confrontational energy of anti-folk, solidifying DiFranco's reputation as a vital, uncompromising voice within the 90s independent music landscape.
