Album Notes & Community Reviews

Primarily known for his highly abstract, avant-garde compositions, multi-reedist Anthony Braxton surprises with a relatively straight-ahead exploration of jazz standards. Supported by an impeccable rhythm section including Tete Montoliu and NHØP, Braxton applies his distinctive, cerebral phrasing to bebop classics, bridging the gap between tradition and free jazz.
