Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in Paris alongside members of the Art Ensemble of Chicago and other AACM associates, this album captures the brilliant multi-reedist engaged in profound acoustic exploration. The heavily improvised sessions navigate extreme dynamic shifts, utilizing silence and dissonance as crucial structural elements rather than just aggressive blowing. It is a striking, highly intellectual achievement in the development of the modern jazz avant-garde.
