Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released against the sociopolitical backdrop of the Iraq War, this album channels the enduring protest spirit of Fela Kuti into contemporary context. The Brooklyn-based ensemble delivers dense, polyrhythmic grooves matched with unapologetically conscious, anti-imperialist lyricism.
