Album Notes & Community Reviews
Considered a pinnacle of the Soviet underground rock movement, Boris Grebenshchikov led his ensemble through a sophisticated, highly eclectic recording process. Distributing the album via the 'magnitizdat' network to bypass state censorship, the music brilliantly intertwines cryptic Russian poetry with reggae rhythms, jangling new wave, and psychedelic folk.
