Acoustic Request Show

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Conceived as a highly intimate fan-only document, 'Acoustic Request Show' features the duo performing acoustic, requests-only reinterpretations of classic tracks from their back catalog. Stripped of drum machines and synthesizers, the arrangements place Malcolm Middleton's intricate guitar picking and Aidan Moffat's dry, vulnerable spoken-word delivery at the center of the recording. Originally sold as a limited tour-only CD, the album highlights the fragile, folk-rock core behind their most abrasive work.
