Arab Strap

Arab Strap are a Scottish duo from Falkirk, composed of Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton. Formed in 1995, they became central figures in Glasgow's influential indie scene. The band is renowned for Moffat's frank, explicit, and often-spoken lyrics detailing sex, relationships, and alcohol, set against Middleton's sparse and atmospheric guitar work. Their debut album, 'The Week Never Starts Round Here', released on #Chemikal Underground#, established their signature 'miserablist' sound. After splitting in 2006, they pursued solo projects before officially reuniting in 2016. They later signed with #Rock Action Records# for acclaimed comeback albums like 'As Days Get Dark', proving their enduring relevance.
