Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning with their first studio album in sixteen years, the cult Scottish duo delivered a remarkably poignant, dark update to their signature sound. The record sets Aidan Moffat's bleak, spoken-word narratives of urban decay, aging, and failed relationships against Malcolm Middleton's driving electronic beats and post-punk guitars. The deeply cynical yet emotionally resonant project was universally hailed as an incredible comeback for the indie veterans.
