Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as their sixth studio album and their final full-length before a fifteen-year hiatus, 'The Last Romance' is an uncommonly energetic and triumphant final bow. The compositions lean heavily into a driving post-punk revival energy and lush chamber-pop orchestrations, introducing a newfound dynamic urgency to their typical slowcore gloom. Thematically, it stands as a brilliant, cynical exploration of modern domesticity, balancing dark misanthropic humor with genuine, fragile hope.
