Johan 'Shamaatae' Lahger's highly secretive solo project debuted with an incredibly dense, profoundly nature-worshipping iteration of extreme Swedish black metal. Sung entirely in ancient Old Swedish, the remarkably lo-fi, highly aggressive riffing is frequently broken by deeply atmospheric, synthesizer-driven ambient passages and nature samples. The deeply occult, distinctly pagan-aligned recording remains a highly revered, intensely atmospheric cornerstone of the 1990s Scandinavian underground.
