Moving decidedly away from their early punk roots, the Polish ensemble incorporated complex progressive metal structures, free-jazz horn sections, and deeply allegorical, spiritual lyricism based on Dante's 'Divine Comedy'. The result is a profoundly dense, avant-garde heavy rock album that remains a singular artistic achievement in Eastern European alternative music.
