Album Notes & Community Reviews

Showcasing the trumpeter's uniquely mellow, deeply melodic approach, this quintet session effectively bridges the gap between West Coast restraint and East Coast fire. Featuring an early appearance by pianist Bill Evans, the complex, intertwining horn lines point towards the evolving subtleties of post-bop.
