Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing to refine the lucrative tiki-pop aesthetic, the vibraphonist and his ensemble construct a lush, highly atmospheric journey through faux-tropical landscapes. The pristine stereophonic production utilizes echoing mallet instruments and evocative sound effects to create a deeply relaxing, cinematic environment. It remains a quintessential, highly stylized staple of the mid-century lounge craze.
