A pioneering effort in the realm of immersive stereophonic sound, this sequel furthers the vibraphonist's vision of imaginary, stylized tropical landscapes. Recorded in the famous Kaiser Aluminum Dome in Honolulu, the integration of simulated jungle bird calls and lush mallet percussion codified the highly atmospheric 'exotica' aesthetic of the post-war era.
