Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning after a thirteen-year solo hiatus, the no-wave legend and experimental pop pioneer seamlessly fuses traditional Brazilian rhythms with modern electronic textures. The recording pairs sensual bossa nova melodies and Candombl茅 percussion with bursts of his signature abrasive, un-tuned guitar noise. The album acts as an exploration of Afro-Brazilian spirituality filtered through a contemporary avant-pop lens.
