Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded while the band members were barely out of their teenage years, this debut perfectly encapsulated a youthful, frenetic fusion of heavy guitar distortion and pristine pop melodies. The title explicitly references both the dawn of the punk rock movement and the theatrical release of the original 'Star Wars'. It achieved massive commercial success during the height of the Britpop era, standing out through its distinctly American alternative rock influences.
