Speak Not of the Laudanum Quandary

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The ambitious debut from the Scottish avant-garde metal collective delivers a scathing critique of British imperialism through a theatrical, extreme musical lens. The tracking layers frantic black metal drumming and dissonant guitar riffs beneath prominent violin passages and unhinged, spoken-word vocal declamations. The record draws heavily upon the historical suffering caused by the British Empire, filtered through chaotic progressive song structures.
