Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded at Roundhouse Studios, 'Rafi's Revenge' reworks Asian Dub Foundation's French-only 'R.A.F.I.' for the British market as a political fusion of Asian underground, breakbeat and jungle. Its title honours playback singer Mohammed Rafi, and tracks including 'Naxalite' and 'Free Satpal Ram' ground its bass-heavy, sample-driven sound in direct protest subjects; the album was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize.
