Crafted entirely in a bedroom by solo artist Shin Gyung-won, this project became an early pillar of the burgeoning South Korean lo-fi emo and shoegaze scene. The album pairs incredibly blown-out, overdriven digital distortion with deeply melancholic acoustic guitar strumming and slacker-rock melodies. Gaining massive traction online, it perfectly captured the hyper-isolated, deeply anxious aesthetic of the pandemic-era underground.
