Stand Up and Scream

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Exploding onto the scene as one of the most polarizing and commercially successful debuts in modern metalcore history, this album effectively codified the 'electronicore' subgenre. The British quintet aggressively paired crushing, down-tuned breakdowns and screaming with auto-tuned pop choruses and heavy, Euro-trance synthesizer drops. Despite severe critical panning, the record became an inescapable, defining cultural touchstone for the late-2000s 'scene' era.
