Album Notes & Community Reviews
Captured at the peak of the Brazilian bossa nova craze in America, 'The Shadow of Your Smile' highlights the singer's signature understated and cool vocal delivery. The record features sophisticated orchestral arrangements and gentle rhythmic pulses that bridge the gap between South American traditions and mainstream jazz-pop. It remains an essential document of the mid-60s easy listening and bossa nova movements.
