Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their seventh studio album, At the Gates embarked on their most experimental and musically ambitious journey to date. While rooted in their signature melodic death metal, the record incorporates a wide array of influences, including progressive rock, orchestral arrangements, and even a saxophone solo. Thematically, it is a dense and philosophical concept album exploring pessimism in philosophy, making for a complex, dark, and epic listening experience.
