Album Notes & Community Reviews
Produced by Gus Dudgeon, the British art-rock ensemble's third LP relies heavily on Howard Werth's distinctive, vibrato-heavy vocals and acoustic guitar alongside prominent saxophone lines. The absence of a lead electric guitarist gives their brand of progressive folk-rock a uniquely theatrical and jazz-inflected flavor. It notably spawned the FM radio staple 'Indian Summer', providing them brief mainstream exposure in America.
