Black Thrash Attack

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Rejecting the increasingly symphonic and atmospheric trends of the Norwegian scene, the duo unleashed a violent homage to the earliest waves of extreme metal. The frenetic record aggressively synthesizes the freezing tremolo picking of black metal with the manic, riff-heavy speed of 1980s Teutonic thrash. Appropriately titled, the debut singlehandedly codified the 'black thrash' subgenre, heavily influencing countless retro-obsessed extreme acts.
