elseq 4

Album Notes & Community Reviews

As the fourth installment of the larger 'elseq 1-5' collection, 'elseq 4' features compositions built entirely within a custom Max/MSP environment, foregoing external instruments. The tracks favor intricate, glitchy percussion and shifting algorithmic textures over traditional melody, creating complex and often abrasive soundscapes. This segment is characterized by its dynamic variety, from the sustained synth tones of 'foldfree casual' to the hectic electro patterns and tape manipulation effects found in tracks like 'latentcall' and '7th slip'.
