Masterminded entirely by visionary producer Bill Laswell, 'Funkcronomicon' is an absolutely sprawling, highly ambitious P-Funk supergroup gathering. The double album reunites Parliament-Funkadelic legends like George Clinton and Bootsy Collins, heavily filtering their classic, deeply psychedelic funk grooves through Laswell's signature, bass-heavy dub production. It operates as a beautifully chaotic, highly improvisational love letter to the outer limits of 70s cosmic funk.
