Album Notes & Community Reviews

Leaning heavily into dense, groove-oriented metal and dropping their trademark reggae interludes entirely, 'Quickness' is the most aggressively metallic release in the legendary hardcore band's discography. The production is significantly heavier and more polished, highlighting H.R.'s wildly erratic vocal performances and Dr. Know's virtuosic, heavy riffing. It served as a massive influence on the emerging alternative metal and funk metal scenes of the 1990s.
