Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut full-length from British extreme metal eccentrics Bal-Sagoth formally introduces their highly ambitious, relentlessly bombastic style of symphonic extreme metal. Driven heavily by frontman Byron Roberts's elaborate fantasy narratives and sweeping, dungeon-synth-inspired keyboards, the record is wildly imaginative. It actively lays the bombastic conceptual foundation for their sprawling, highly detailed dark-fantasy multiverse.
