Biography
Bal-Sagoth is a symphonic black metal band from Sheffield, England, formed in 1993 by Byron Roberts with Chris and Jonny Maudling. Named after a Robert E. Howard story, the band set Roberts's original dark fantasy saga to orchestral keyboards and black metal across six albums: a first trilogy for #Cacophonous Records# (1995-1998) and a second for #Nuclear Blast#, ending with 'The Chthonic Chronicles' (2006). The band has been inactive since 2013.
