Album Notes & Community Reviews
The second album by Vancouver quartet Baptists, 'Bloodmines' was produced and mixed by Kurt Ballou at his GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts, with Ballou adding a bent guitar note to 'Harm Induction'. Its eleven tracks run to roughly twenty five minutes, moving from the d-beat charges of 'Wanting' and 'String Up' to the detuned doom blues of the title track, while vocalist Andrew Drury attacks bigoted politicians on 'String Up' and a failing childcare system on 'For Profit'.
