Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his ongoing dialogue with the classic pirate radio formats of his youth, 'The Basics' represents a highly personal and raw sophomore album from Basic Rhythm. Published by Type Recordings, the record serves as a deep-reaching dedication to East London and Essex club culture, featuring track titles named after local postcodes and pirate stations. The minimalist arrangements merge spartan grime basslines with fast-paced footwork percussion, carving out an incredibly tense, aggressive, and nostalgic electronic space.
