Biography
Basic Rhythm is the primary recording alias of Anthoney Hart, a UK producer and DJ from East London. His work deconstructs and rebuilds the foundational elements of UK rave culture, drawing heavily on jungle, grime, hardcore, and garage. Growing up immersed in pirate radio, Hart's productions are known for their raw, percussive, and rhythmically complex nature. He has released a significant body of work, including the 'Raw Trax' series and the album 'On The Threshold' for #Planet Mu#, on influential labels like #Type Records#, #Sneaker Social Club#, and his own #Raw Basics# imprint. His sound bridges the past and future of UK bass music with a distinctive, stripped-back, and adventurous approach.
