A massive, genre-colliding blockbuster, 'Licensed to Ill' propelled hip-hop into suburban America by welding aggressive rap flows to heavy metal guitar samples. The trio鈥檚 incredibly playful, boastful lyricism revels in a highly satirical, hedonistic frat-boy persona over Rick Rubin's booming drum machine production. It remains an enormously energetic, rebellious staple of mid-school rap rock.
