Album Notes & Community Reviews
Praised in Arhoolie's own liner notes as one of the finest albums of traditional Cajun music of its era, 'Parlez-Nous 脿 Boire' opens with Wallace 'Cheese' Reed's Le Jig Fran莽ais, a tune Michael Doucet kept as a mainstay of BeauSoleil's live sets. Arhoolie's expanded reissue 'Parlez-Nous 脿 Boire & More' later carried its title track to the American Routes National Heritage Fellowship playlists.
