Album Notes & Community Reviews

A landmark and historically significant album in Danish music, Bent Jacobsen's 'B酶sse' is widely considered the first openly gay-themed record released in the country. The title itself translates to a slur for a gay man, reclaimed as an act of defiance. Musically, the album is a raw blend of psychedelic folk and blues rock, with politically charged lyrics that directly address queer identity, love, and societal prejudice, making it a pioneering work of protest music.
