Album Notes & Community Reviews

Introducing her fiercely uncompromising, highly improvisational approach to vocal jazz, the singer immediately establishes herself as a singular talent on her debut album. Backed by sophisticated orchestrations, she fearlessly deconstructs traditional melodies, utilizing complex, horn-like scatting and unpredictable rhythmic shifts. The recording is a vital opening statement from one of the most adventurous vocalists in jazz history.
