Album Notes & Community Reviews
Brad McCuen produced these sessions at RCA Studio B in New York between October 1966 and February 1967 for Dixon's first album as a leader and his only major label release. The side long 'Metamorphosis 1962-1966' deploys a tentet including bassists Jimmy Garrison and Reggie Workman, and the record stayed out of print for decades before International Phonograph reissued it in 2011.
