Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking an introspective late-career collaboration, 'Affinity' pairs the legendary pianist with harmonic heavyweight Toots Thielemans. The sessions capture a delicate interplay of piano and chromatic harmonica, leaning heavily into sophisticated reharmonizations of popular standards. It stands as a testament to mature subtlety, prioritizing deeply felt lyricism over overt technical display.
