Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut solo album from the legendary piano-man is infamous for a severe mastering error that sped up the original tapes, rendering his voice unnaturally high-pitched. Despite the glaring technical flaw, the record highlights his prodigious classical piano chops and intensely melancholic, slightly cynical early songwriting. It features the devastatingly beautiful original version of 'She's Got a Way', hinting at the massive pop-rock success to follow.
