Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating under the pseudonym Blackbeard, prolific British reggae producer Dennis Bovell crafted an inventive, sonically adventurous collection of dub versions. 'I Wah Dub' is renowned for its heavy, speaker-rattling basslines and Bovell's idiosyncratic, highly creative use of studio effects and spatial mixing. The album was instrumental in establishing the distinct identity of the UK dub sound.
