Album Notes & Community Reviews

Rebel MC, operating under the Blackstar alias for his own Congo Natty imprint, delivered an absolute, deeply spiritual masterclass in early UK ragga jungle. The incredibly dense, frantic breakbeats are seamlessly interwoven with heavy, classic dub reggae bass lines and passionate Rastafari vocal samples praising Haile Selassie. The remarkably warm, highly energetic record stands as a foundational, culturally crucial pillar linking Jamaican soundsystem culture with British rave music.
