Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking the Scottish duo鈥檚 first studio album in thirteen years, 'Inferno' expands on their signature analogue-warm electronics with a clinical, driven approach that explores biblical themes, spirituality, and the occult. Brothers Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin incorporate a prominent array of voice samplings, ranging from recordings of Islamic scholars and priestly sermons to chanting and panicked artificial intelligence voices. The resulting double album juxtaposes their characteristic hauntological nostalgia against urgent, modern political anxieties, solidifying their legacy as pioneering figures in contemporary electronic music.
