Desire

A highly collaborative project, 'Desire' captures the freewheeling, live-ensemble sound of the Rolling Thunder Revue, with Scarlet Rivera's violin providing a defining textural and melodic voice throughout the recording. Co-written largely with theater director Jacques Levy, the album is characterized by lengthy, cinematic story-songs that range from the topical protest of 'Hurricane' and the sprawling gangster narrative of 'Joey' to the intensely personal ballad 'Sara'.
