Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during a transitional commercial lull for the Detroit rocker, this gritty studio session predominantly features heavily amplified covers of rhythm and blues and early rock standards. The raw, live-in-the-studio production perfectly captures his remarkably powerful, gravelly vocal delivery and uncompromising roots-rock ethos prior to his massive late-seventies stardom.
